Please read this Disclaimer carefully before using AB Slate. AB Slate is a job and hiring platform that helps candidates discover opportunities and apply for roles with partner companies. We aim to present hiring information clearly, support a fair application process, and communicate responsibly with candidates and employers. This Disclaimer explains important limits around the information shown on the platform, the role of partner employers, hiring outcomes, compensation details, third-party materials, platform availability, security, and liability.
By browsing AB Slate, creating an account, submitting an application, uploading documents, responding to communications, or otherwise using the platform, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Disclaimer. This page should be read together with our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and any role-specific notices shown during the application process. If a job posting, employer communication, offer letter, employment contract, or applicable law gives you stronger rights than this general Disclaimer, those more specific terms may apply to that situation.
General information
The content on AB Slate is provided for general recruitment and hiring information. Job listings, employer descriptions, role summaries, eligibility notes, application instructions, status messages, candidate resources, and similar materials are intended to help candidates understand potential opportunities and next steps. They are not intended to be exhaustive descriptions of every employment condition, workplace policy, contractual obligation, legal requirement, or business circumstance connected with a role.
AB Slate works to keep platform information useful and current, but hiring needs can change quickly. A position may be paused, modified, filled, withdrawn, postponed, or closed without prior notice. Business priorities, budget approvals, location requirements, work arrangements, shift patterns, interview stages, onboarding timelines, or headcount plans may change after a listing is published. We may update, remove, combine, or re-post roles when we believe it is appropriate.
No guarantee of employment
AB Slate does not guarantee that any candidate will be shortlisted, interviewed, selected, offered employment, retained by an employer, or hired for any specific role. Creating an account, completing a profile, uploading a resume, applying for a job, passing an initial screening, receiving a message from AB Slate, attending an interview, or being marked with any application status does not create a promise of employment.
Hiring decisions depend on many factors, including employer requirements, candidate qualifications, interview performance, document verification, background or reference checks where applicable, work authorization, availability, compensation expectations, business needs, and the number and quality of applications received. Even if a candidate appears to meet the published requirements, the partner employer may choose another candidate, revise the role, pause hiring, or decide not to fill the position.
Unless AB Slate expressly states in writing that it is the direct employer for a particular position, any employment relationship is between the candidate and the relevant employer or partner company. AB Slate may support sourcing, screening, coordination, communication, or application management, but this support does not mean AB Slate controls the final hiring decision or guarantees any outcome.
Employer and partner responsibility
Partner companies and third-party employers are responsible for their own hiring criteria, interview processes, workplace rules, employment contracts, compensation decisions, onboarding requirements, job duties, management practices, and ongoing employment relationship with hired candidates. They are also responsible for complying with applicable employment, labor, tax, immigration, equal opportunity, health and safety, and other legal obligations that apply to them.
AB Slate may help present roles and facilitate communication, but we do not independently operate or supervise every partner workplace. We do not control how an employer conducts interviews, evaluates candidates, structures compensation, manages employees, changes schedules, assigns tasks, or makes employment decisions after hiring. If you receive an offer, you should carefully review the employer's offer letter, contract, policies, and onboarding materials before accepting.
When AB Slate becomes aware of inaccurate, misleading, or concerning employer information, we may review the matter, request clarification, update or remove content, suspend a listing, or take other appropriate steps. However, AB Slate cannot guarantee that every employer statement, representation, or operational detail is complete, current, or error-free at all times.
Job listing accuracy
We try to publish job listings that are accurate, professional, and helpful. Listings may include role titles, employment type, location, remote or hybrid expectations, responsibilities, qualifications, experience ranges, required skills, selection stages, expected joining dates, benefits, salary ranges, incentives, and other details. This information may come from partner employers, recruitment teams, public employer materials, internal hiring notes, or other sources we consider relevant.
Despite reasonable care, job listings may contain omissions, typographical errors, outdated details, approximate figures, incomplete descriptions, or information that changes after publication. A listing should not be treated as a final employment contract or as a complete statement of all duties and conditions. Candidates should confirm important details directly during the recruitment process, especially before resigning from current employment, relocating, declining another opportunity, making financial commitments, or accepting an offer.
AB Slate may edit listings for clarity, formatting, compliance, consistency, or candidate experience. These edits do not change the underlying employer's final authority over role requirements unless the employer confirms the change. If a listing conflicts with a written offer letter or employment agreement issued by the employer, the employer's formal written documents will usually control, subject to applicable law.
Candidate verification and responsibility
Candidates are responsible for reviewing listings carefully and deciding whether a role is suitable for their skills, experience, location, availability, career goals, legal work authorization, and personal circumstances. You should provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information in your account, profile, applications, assessments, interview responses, and documents. Misleading information may lead to rejection, withdrawal of an offer, account action, or employer action.
You are also responsible for verifying material details before making important decisions. This includes confirming the employer's identity, office location, interview arrangements, expected work model, compensation structure, probation period, benefits, notice period, training requirements, background checks, equipment requirements, travel expectations, and any fees or expenses that may arise. AB Slate does not ask candidates to pay money for a guaranteed job. If anyone claims that payment is required to secure employment through AB Slate, please report it immediately.
Candidates should use reasonable caution when communicating outside the platform. Be careful with requests for sensitive personal information, banking details, identity documents, unusual payment arrangements, or urgent actions that seem inconsistent with a normal hiring process. AB Slate may provide communication channels or facilitate contact, but candidates remain responsible for assessing whether a request is legitimate and appropriate.
Resumes, documents, and application materials
When you upload or submit a resume, CV, cover note, portfolio, certificate, identity document, work sample, or other application material, you are responsible for ensuring that the material is accurate, lawful, appropriate to share, and does not violate another person's rights. Do not upload documents you are not authorized to share, documents containing unnecessary sensitive information, or files that include malware or harmful code.
AB Slate may use submitted materials to process applications, assess suitability, coordinate with partner employers, verify information, communicate with you, maintain platform records, and support recruitment operations as described in our Privacy Policy. We may reject or remove materials that appear incomplete, unsafe, fraudulent, irrelevant, unlawful, or inconsistent with platform requirements. We do not guarantee that every document will be reviewed by a human recruiter or employer representative.
You should keep your own copies of important documents and application records. While AB Slate uses reasonable measures to operate the platform reliably, we cannot guarantee permanent storage, uninterrupted access, or recovery of every uploaded file in every circumstance. If a document is important to you, maintain an independent backup.
Salary, benefits, and role details
Salary, stipend, commission, incentive, bonus, equity, allowance, insurance, leave, training, equipment, travel, relocation, schedule, shift, remote work, and other benefit or role details shown on AB Slate are provided for guidance unless expressly stated otherwise in a formal written offer. Figures may be estimated, shown as ranges, subject to eligibility, dependent on experience, tied to performance, prorated, variable by location, or subject to employer policy.
Compensation and benefits may change because of employer budget approvals, candidate experience, negotiation, legal requirements, tax treatment, benefit provider rules, location, joining date, role level, business conditions, or corrections to earlier information. AB Slate does not guarantee any salary, benefit, incentive, promotion path, work schedule, job title, reporting line, or workplace arrangement unless AB Slate is the direct employer and has issued an express written commitment.
Before accepting an offer, candidates should request and review the final written terms from the employer. If any detail is important to your decision, ask the employer to confirm it clearly in writing. General information on AB Slate should not replace careful review of the official offer, employment agreement, company policies, and applicable law.
Third-party links, names, and logos
AB Slate may display partner company names, logos, trademarks, descriptions, website links, social media links, maps, documents, or other third-party materials to identify employers, describe opportunities, or help candidates research roles. These materials remain the property of their respective owners. Their appearance on AB Slate does not imply broader endorsement, sponsorship, ownership, partnership, agency, or approval beyond the specific recruitment or informational context presented.
External links are provided for convenience and may lead to websites, portals, forms, documents, or services operated by third parties. AB Slate does not control those third-party resources and is not responsible for their content, availability, security, accessibility, accuracy, privacy practices, terms, or actions. When you leave AB Slate, you should review the applicable third-party terms and privacy policies before submitting information or relying on their content.
Platform availability and changes
AB Slate is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We work to maintain a stable, secure, and useful platform, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, error-free functionality, immediate message delivery, permanent availability of any feature, or compatibility with every device, browser, network, or operating environment. Access may be affected by maintenance, upgrades, hosting issues, third-party service interruptions, security events, internet outages, high traffic, bugs, misconfiguration, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
We may modify, suspend, restrict, replace, or discontinue any part of the platform, including candidate accounts, application workflows, job alerts, communication tools, dashboards, files, listings, or integrations. We may also add eligibility checks, verification steps, rate limits, security controls, moderation, or other operational measures. Where practical, we will try to minimize disruption, but we cannot guarantee advance notice for every change.
Security limits
AB Slate takes reasonable steps to protect accounts, application data, and platform systems. These steps may include encrypted connections, password hashing, access controls, monitoring, backups, and security practices appropriate for a hiring platform. However, no website, database, email system, file upload feature, hosting provider, or internet transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.
Candidates should protect their own accounts by using a strong unique password, keeping login credentials confidential, signing out on shared devices, avoiding suspicious links, and promptly reporting unauthorized access or unusual communications. AB Slate is not responsible for losses caused by a candidate's failure to safeguard credentials, use of compromised devices or networks, phishing, impersonation by third parties, or actions taken outside official AB Slate channels.
If we identify or reasonably suspect a security issue, we may restrict access, reset credentials, remove files, suspend accounts, delay processing, notify affected users, or take other measures needed to protect candidates, employers, and the platform. These actions may affect application timelines or access while we investigate and respond.
No professional, legal, or career advice
Information on AB Slate is not legal, financial, immigration, tax, employment, career, medical, or other professional advice. Candidate tips, job descriptions, interview guidance, eligibility notes, or support messages are general information only. They may not account for your jurisdiction, employment history, visa status, financial situation, personal circumstances, or specific legal rights.
You should seek advice from a qualified professional where appropriate, especially before making decisions involving resignation, relocation, immigration status, contracts, tax obligations, disputes, workplace rights, or significant financial commitments. AB Slate cannot represent that general platform information is suitable for every candidate or every situation.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, AB Slate and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, service providers, and representatives will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, exemplary, or similar losses arising from or related to your use of the platform, inability to use the platform, reliance on job information, hiring outcomes, employer decisions, third-party conduct, lost opportunities, lost income, lost data, reputational harm, business interruption, or communications connected with recruitment.
Nothing in this Disclaimer is intended to exclude liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, or other matters that the law does not allow us to limit. If a jurisdiction does not permit a particular limitation, that limitation will apply only to the maximum extent allowed. Your statutory rights, if any, remain subject to applicable law.
AB Slate's responsibility, if any, is limited to the operation of the platform and services we directly provide. We are not responsible for employer workplace conditions, employment disputes, contractual breaches by employers, hiring delays, rejection decisions, background check outcomes, compensation disagreements, changes to role scope, or third-party websites and services, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
Reporting concerns
We encourage candidates and employers to report concerns promptly. Please contact us if you believe a listing is inaccurate, an employer identity is unclear, a communication appears fraudulent, a payment request has been made, a third-party link is unsafe, a logo or trademark is used incorrectly, a document has been uploaded in error, an account has been accessed without authorization, or any platform content may be misleading, unlawful, discriminatory, harmful, or inappropriate.
When reporting a concern, include enough detail for us to investigate, such as the job title, employer name, URL, screenshots if available, message sender, date, and a short explanation of the issue. We may review the report, ask for more information, contact the employer, update or remove content, restrict access, preserve records, or take other steps we consider appropriate. Reporting a concern does not guarantee a particular outcome, but it helps us maintain a more trustworthy platform.
Changes to this Disclaimer
We may update this Disclaimer from time to time to reflect changes in our platform, recruitment practices, partner relationships, legal requirements, security practices, or business operations. The "Last updated" date will show when this page was most recently revised. Changes take effect when posted unless a different effective date is stated.
Continued use of AB Slate after a revised Disclaimer is posted means you acknowledge the updated version. We encourage you to review this page periodically, especially before submitting applications or relying on important platform information.
